AnimeFest, a anime convention, held in September of 2015 took place at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel in Dallas, TX. AnimeFest, as the name suggests, is largely based around "anime" or Japanese animation. It has always been one of our primary motivations to educate the public about anime and the cultural aspects surrounding it. Hundreds of fans dressed as their favorite Japanese Anime character took over the convention center to meet with fellow anime fans performing cosplay and educating the public about animation, cinema, art, music, games, crafting, costume design, dance, and other forms of traditional and popular culture and art.

Detroit’s Wisest Generation is a visual narrative of remarkable people who have lived through the good and the bad with a relentless spirit and faith in Detroit’s comeback. Detroit's Wisest Generation is an ongoing project initially developed through a fellowship under the direction of a nonprofit, Documenting Detroit. It has become an ongoing effort of mine to document Detroit's senior community including audio featuring a number of urban legends of Motown, gospel music and others in the entertainment business. They also also include entreprenuers, spiritual leaders, social and political activist who raised children, practiced their craft and made their mark in the city and, in their communities.

Youmacon Detroit is a celebration of Japanese popular culture and its influence on our own culture over the past few decades. Fans flooded the towers of the Detroit Renaissance Center to meet and greet others. Common themes throughout the event are Anime (Japanese animation), Video Games, Japanese style artwork and comics, and the rising internet culture influenced by all of the above. Youmacon brings a unique all-ages mix of interactive events, celebrity guest panels, and live musical performances to Downtown Detroit. One of its most popular events, “Live Action Mario Party”, emulates the video game experience – often filling the room to fire code capacity. Players participate in gameshow-like mini-games to help their teams advance and win. #comicon, #youmacon, #detroitanime, #animeconvention,
